What are your main responsibilities in your current role?
Prior to Artnet’s recent merger with Artsy, my primary focus was on Investor Relations, Compliance, ESG reporting, Public Relations, and financial reporting.
Today, as Vice President of Artnet and Artsy, I’ve shifted my focus to strategic brand partnerships with banks, insurance companies, and luxury brands.
What has been your professional journey to where you are today, and what were the biggest challenges you faced?
My professional background spans investor relations, financial and ESG reporting, strategic partnerships, and business development, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how organizations communicate value to a broad range of stakeholders. Through my experience at Artnet, I have worked closely with executive leadership, investors, analysts, corporate partners, and clients, helping to translate complex financial, operational, and sustainability information into clear and compelling narratives. This has strengthened my analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to build trusted relationships across diverse audiences.
One of my key strengths is connecting commercial objectives with long-term strategic and reputational goals. The biggest challenge has been balancing the often different expectations of investors, management teams, partners, and other stakeholders, while maintaining transparency and alignment. Navigating these competing priorities has taught me how to communicate effectively, manage complexity, and deliver outcomes that create value for both organizations and their stakeholders.
How do you stay inspired and up to date in a constantly evolving field? What platforms do you use to stay informed?
What keeps me inspired is the constant intersection of culture, business, and innovation. I have always been fascinated by how art reflects societal change, and how technology, finance, and new forms of engagement continue to reshape the cultural landscape.
As I also lecture at IE University in Madrid as well as SDA Bocconi in Milan, that motivates me to always stay informed – so that I can better teach the next generation. I listen to news podcasts every morning while I’m preparing for the day, such as Artnet News, ArtNews, CNN, Financial Times, NPR and BBC.
I’ve found that the most valuable insights often come not only from reading, but from engaging with people across different sectors and understanding how broader economic, technological, and societal trends are influencing their perspectives and decision-making.
What skills or qualities do you consider fundamental to your success in the cultural sector?
I believe my success has been driven by a combination of intellectual curiosity, strong relationship-building skills, and adaptability. Throughout my career, I have been able to navigate diverse environments and perspectives, working with investors, executives, clients, cultural institutions, and strategic partners. I am naturally collaborative, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities, but what has helped me most is a commitment to continuous learning and personal growth. I have always invested in further education to keep my mind active and broaden my perspective, while maintaining a flexible and positive outlook. I firmly believe that a closed door often opens a new window, and this resilience and openness to change have enabled me to turn challenges into opportunities and continue evolving both professionally and personally.
What advice would you give to someone starting their career in the cultural world?
Stay positive, work smarter not harder, and continue educating yourself.
